Nothing on this site is real gambling. Free Roulette Simulator is a free game that simulates roulette. Every chip, balance, bet and "win" is imaginary play money with no cash value. Play money cannot be bought, sold, deposited, withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for real money, prizes, gift cards, cryptocurrency or anything else of value. We never accept payments or deposits, and no one can win or lose real money here, in any way.

Gambling is an adult activity. No part of this site is intended for use by anyone beneath the legal age required to engage in gambling within their jurisdiction of residence, and in any case not by anyone under 18.

Free Roulette Simulator does not intend for any information on this site to be used for illegal purposes. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are of legal age and that online gambling is legal in your country of residence before you gamble anywhere. Free Roulette Simulator is not a casino and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any casino or gambling operator. Nothing here is financial, legal or gambling advice, or an offer or invitation to gamble. Results in a simulator do not predict results anywhere else: every real roulette bet carries a house edge, and no betting system can overcome it.

Free roulette simulator: European & American wheels

Play free roulette online with play money, right in your browser. No download, no sign-up and no real money, ever. Spin a realistic European roulette wheel (single zero) or an American roulette wheel (0 and 00), place every bet from straight-up numbers to splits, corners and dozens, and watch the ball bounce in Vegas mode or get instant results in Simulator mode.

Roulette odds & payouts

See what every bet pays and how often it wins in the roulette odds and payouts chart, and why the house edge is lower on a European wheel.

Test a roulette strategy

Try Martingale or any other system risk-free with your own bankroll and table limits, then review every spin in 📜 History. No strategy beats the house edge, and here you can see why.

Provably fair spins

Every result comes from a cryptographically secure random number generator, and you can verify each spin yourself with the fairness tools below.

🔐 RNG engine & fairness tools For advanced players: check, verify and test the random number generator
RNG engine

What is this?

Every spin's winning number comes from a random number generator (RNG). It is picked the moment you spin, before the wheel starts moving. The wheel and ball animation only show you the number that was already chosen. This panel lets you pick which generator is used, prove that past spins were fair, and stress-test the generator yourself.

You don't need any of this to play. The default settings are already the most secure option.

The four engines

EngineSecure?Best for
Provably Fair · HMAC-SHA256 (default)YesNormal play. Every spin can be checked afterwards.
Web Crypto CSPRNGYesSecure play when you don't need to verify spins. The fastest secure option.
Xoshiro256**NoFast simulations and comparison only.
Xorshift128+NoFast simulations and comparison only.

"Secure" means nobody can predict the next number, even after watching thousands of spins. Xoshiro and Xorshift spread numbers evenly, so they pass fairness tests, but anyone who records a few results can work out every future spin. Never use them for anything involving real value.

Changing the engine

  1. Pick an engine from the RNG engine menu above. You can't change it while the ball is spinning.
  2. The badge next to it turns green for secure engines and red for the others.
  3. It applies from the next spin and is remembered on this device. Your balance and bets aren't affected.

How "provably fair" works

  • Server seed: a secret 256-bit random number made by the game. You only see its hash, a fingerprint that can't be reversed but proves the seed was locked in before you bet.
  • Client seed: your own text. It is mixed into every result, so the game can't choose outcomes on its own. Type anything you like, or press Random.
  • Nonce: a counter that goes up by 1 every spin, so each spin gets a different result from the same seeds.

result = HMAC-SHA256(server seed, "client seed:nonce:0") → number 0–36 (or 0–37, where 37 = 00)

Checking a spin, step by step

  1. Open the Provably Fair tab and note the server seed hash before you play. Change your client seed now if you want to.
  2. Play as many spins as you like.
  3. Press Reveal & rotate server seed. The old seed is shown in plain text, and a new hidden one takes its place.
  4. Click any number in the Results list beside the wheel. The Verify a spin tab opens with everything filled in and recalculates the result.
  5. Check two things: the SHA-256 shown matches the hash you noted in step 1, and the result matches the number that came up. If both match, the spin was fair.

You can also enter the seeds and nonce by hand, or recheck the same numbers with any HMAC-SHA256 tool outside this site.

Running the RNG test

  1. Open the RNG test tab, choose how many spins (more spins give a stronger test), and press Run.
  2. The bars show how often each pocket came up. The dashed line is the expected count. Every bar should sit close to it.
  3. Read the p-value. Anything above 0.01 means the results are consistent with a fair wheel. A fair wheel still lands below 0.01 about 1 run in 100, so run it again before worrying.

The test uses its own throwaway seed. It doesn't use up spins, change your nonce or touch your balance.

Good to know

  • Spin speed doesn't matter. Vegas mode and Simulator mode use the same RNG. Only the animation length changes.
  • "Hot" numbers mean nothing. Every spin is independent. A number that hit three times in a row is no more or less likely next spin.
  • The house edge is built into the payouts, not the RNG. See "Bet types & payouts" under the table.
Server seed hash… Client seed Next nonce0
The server seed hash is a commitment made before you bet. After rotating, the original seed is revealed so you can check that every result came from it.

SHA-256(seed)— Result—
Simulates a large number of spins (without betting) and runs a chi-square test to check that every pocket comes up equally often.

Why not Xoshiro256** or Xorshift128+?

These are excellent statistical generators: fast, with good distribution. They are not cryptographically secure, though. Their internal state can be rebuilt from a handful of outputs (Xorshift128+ from about 3–5 spins using a SAT solver; this is how Chrome's old Math.random was predicted). After that, every future spin is known. They are included here only for simulations and comparison.

What this game uses

Web Crypto CSPRNG (crypto.getRandomValues), which is backed by the operating system's secure generator, makes the 256-bit server seed. Each spin is then HMAC-SHA256(serverSeed, clientSeed:nonce:round). Without the secret seed nobody can predict that output, and nobody can steer it.

No modulo bias

Each 32-bit block is accepted only if it falls below the largest multiple of the pocket count (37 or 38) that fits in 232. Otherwise it is thrown away and the next block is used. Taking % 37 straight would favour some pockets slightly.

Result first, animation second

The winning number is decided by the RNG before the wheel moves. The 20-second Vegas spin and the instant Simulator spin show the same result for the same seed and nonce. Spin length is purely cosmetic.

Commit & reveal (provably fair)

You see SHA-256(serverSeed) before betting, and you choose your own client seed, so the house can't pick results after seeing your bets. Rotating the seed reveals it, and you can recheck any past spin on the Verify tab.
Before taking real money: in this page the "server" seed and the balance live in your browser, so a player could read or change them in DevTools. For real betting, generate the seed and settle bets on a server, keep balances in a database, and get the RNG certified (e.g. GLI-19, iTech Labs, eCOGRA). You also need a gambling licence for every jurisdiction you operate in. This page is a front end and demo only.
